Irish Times Article – “The outside world might be a mess, but you can still strap a helmet on and have some fun”

“The outside world might be a mess, but you can still strap a helmet on and have some fun”

Kylemore Karting is Ireland’s Premier Karting Arena. Our numerous compliments, reviews and testimonials as well as many awards we have received, merit our title as a Leader in European Karting. This week we were delighted to be featured in The Irish Times in an article written by Neil Briscoe. ⠀

The article talks about our COVID-19 procedures, illustrious history, celebrities that have raced here and more.

Briscoe after enjoying a spin on track with his youngest son, talks about how Kylemore Karting can be viewed as a “respite cure” for COVID 19 and a means to enjoy some fun fast entertainment during these tough times. One thing that impresses Briscoe is the COVID-19 H&S procedures that we have implemented for customer and staff safety and the facility improvements that were introduced during the lockdown period.

He explains how Kylemore Karting is more than just your average go-karting centre and delves into our illustrious motor-sport related heritage. Briscoe talks about our founder, Stuart Cosgrave and the part he played in bringing motorsport to Ireland and designing “Ireland’s only proper race track”, Mondello Park.

“You don’t have to be a raving car-nut to enjoy karting”, Briscoe explains that no matter how old or young or motor-crazy you are, Kylemore Karting is a place where you can channel your inner Damon Hill or Eddie Irvine without having to worry about the “dreaded COVID -19”.
